DIY LOVELY INDEED TOTE BAG #2

I am seriously decking myself out in Lovely Indeed DIYs for Alt Summit. (If you missed it, you can see last week’s DIY business card holder here.) Today, I’m whipping up a tote bag to haul around my computer, notebooks, and other essentials — but the awesome part is that it’s got Lovely Indeed’s logo on it.
We’ve used this technique before, but we’ll go over the specifics if you need a refresher. For starters, grab your materials:
  • blank canvas tote bag
  • black craft paint
  • freezer paper
  • printer
  • scissors
  • iron
  • sponge brush
  • cardboard scraps
Start by printing out this file of Lovely Indeed’s logo. Trace it onto your freezer paper and cut it out. Iron your tote bag to rid it of any wrinkles. Next, put your freezer paper stencil onto your tote bag shiny side down. Make sure that it’s straight and aligned, and iron it so that it adheres to the tote bag.

Insert the cardboard into the tote bag to ensure that no paint seeps through. With the sponge brush, gently paint onto the exposed areas of the stencil.

Remove the freezer paper carefully and let the bag dry completely.

Bam! You’re repping this awesome blog all over town. And when people ask where you got it, you can say you made it yourself!  xoxo
