Vertical.

Besos...
Before you go through your wardrobe this change of season and throw out the neon knits of 2012 or the DIY studded denim cut-offs(you know that you couldn't resist getting crafty) be mindful of those old pointed pumps sitting towards the back .. long gone reminders of the Sex in the City era when fitted singlet tops were cool along with hair accessories and power shoulders.  Thank goodness for the basic pump .. at least some things never change.. xx

Oreo Chocolate Chunk Cookies.

It’s no secret that I love cookies or that I love baking Oreo inside of other desserts. So, it was really just a matter of time before these cookies made an appearance on here, and, man, are they good! They’re part Oreo cookie, part melted chocolate, and part soft and chewy butter cookie.
Normally, though, I don’t like a lot of chocolate in my chocolate chip cookies, but it really works in these cookies. I used chocolate disks (which I found right next to the chocolate chips in my local grocery store), but you could use chocolate chunks instead.

Stairs and Side Streets

Showing someone else your city can open your eyes. The past few weeks I’ve seen Amsterdam in such a different light. Usually I’m feeling a bit bored over here, like I’ve seen it once too many. I’ve been thinking about moving abroad for so long, and we’ve actually been planning on doing so multiple times. But everytime something comes up, either personally or professionally. I really do hope we’ll be so lucky to experience a few months or years in a different city, preferrably overseas, but until then Amsterdam has to do. And it isn’t that bad either. Being perked up by the always cheerful Zanita, finding beauty in everything around us. That’s the way to look at things, especially when you’re living in it. I know lots of people would kill to live in a city like mine, but I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. Here’s to hoping and just being happy. Because life is too short to be thinking “what if” all the time! Ph. by Zanita

Fluor.
